What information we collect

When you request a quote or get in touch, we may collect:

• Your name;
• Your email address and phone number;
• The property address where the work is to be carried out;
• Details about the job you're enquiring about — for example fence type, colour, dimensions, extras and any notes you provide.

We only collect information that is reasonably necessary to prepare a quote and carry out our services. You don't have to provide all of it, but the less you give us, the harder it may be for us to give you an accurate quote.

How we collect it

We collect this information directly from you — usually through the quote form on this website, or when you email, call or speak with us. Our online form is submitted through a third-party form service (Web3Forms) which passes your enquiry on to us by email.

Why we collect it and how we use it

We use your personal information to:

• Respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote;
• Arrange an on-site measure and carry out the work;
• Contact you about your job and provide our services;
• Keep records for our own business and legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to send you marketing emails unless you have asked us to.

Who we share it with

We only disclose your information where it's needed to run our business or where required by law. This may include:

• Web3Forms — the service that delivers your website enquiry to our inbox.
• Google reCAPTCHA — used on our quote form to help prevent spam and automated abuse. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
• Email and IT providers we use to run the business (for example Google/Gmail).

Overseas disclosure

Some of the third-party services we use (such as our form provider and Google) are based overseas, including in the United States. This means your information may be stored or processed outside Australia by those providers.

How we store and protect it

Your enquiry reaches us by email and is stored in our email account and business records. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or to meet our legal obligations.

Cookies

This website itself does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The Google reCAPTCHA tool on our quote form may set cookies in your browser to tell humans and bots apart. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it's wrong or out of date. Just email deadsetfencing@gmail.com and we'll help.

Complaints
